Staff Inset Day Change- Due to exams, the Staff Inset Day planned for Monday the 25 June is now a normal school day. This Staff Inset Day is now scheduled for Friday 29 June.
Adam Kutereba SDR Fund-We are currently holding a wristband sale within school for Adam Kutereba's SDR Fund. Adam Kutereba is a 9 year old boy who has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
Adam has been accepted for an operation in America but needs £60,000 for this to become a reality.
The Junior Leadership Team will be selling wrist bands to purchase for £1.
The Junior Leadership Team are also holding a chocolate tombola at the Musical Evening on Friday 23 March, followed by an Easter Egg Raffle throughout the last week of term.
All proceeds will be donated to the Adam Kutereba Fund.
Donations would be gratefully received and items could range from Easter Eggs and Creme Eggs, to Easter Bunnies etc.
Musical Evening- Musical Evening will take place on Friday 23rd March and starts at 7.30pm.Tickets are £3.50 for adults and £2 for children.
The groups that are performing are as follows: Folk group, Training Band Choir, Big Band, Choir, Percussion Ensemble and Wind Band. Please visit reception to purchase tickets.
National Festival of Music For Youth- On Saturday 24 March we are holding the Regional Festival for Music For Youth in school.
The day will consist of two sessions, morning and afternoon and over 200 young musicians will come along in each session to perform to the panel of adjudicators for a place in the National Festival in July at Birmingham Symphony Hall.
As part of the event we require volunteers to help steward the groups, man doors and help set stage for the day. If you could help for a morning session, afternoon session or all day please contact Mrs Smith.

Easter School- Easter School will be taking place on Monday 2 April, Tuesday 3 April, and Wednesday 4 April between 10am -2.30pm.
A timetable is now available on our website.
Illness in School- If your child becomes ill in school; they must in the first instance report this to their form tutor, who will then make the decision about whether they can go home. If their form tutor is unavailable they must see their Head of House/ Year or Mrs Hardman the Attendance Officer.
Form Tutors, Head of House/Year will then contact Pupil Reception to inform them that your child is ill and needs to go home. Pupils should not bypass this system by phoning or texting parents directly. These procedures have been put in place to ensure the safeguarding of all pupils
Term Dates- Our new term dates for 2012- 2013 are now available on the Wardle High School website.
Wardle Social- Wardle now has its own Facebook and Twitter page. This means that it is now easier for us to share school achievements and important messages such as snow days. Please find links on our website to these sites.
School Uniform and general appearance– Please make sure your child’s uniform and appearance meets with school requirements e.g. blazers, plain black school shoes. Non-school jumpers\cardigans, hoodies, scarves etc. are not school uniform. Female students should wear their skirts at knee length or longer. Pupils are not allowed to wear makeup or to have hair extensions, permanent, semi permanent or clip ins. They are also not allowed false eyelashes or lash extensions, false nails, nail varnish or extreme hair colours.
