Staff from the elections office are encouraging everyone to vote on Thursday.
Rochdale people are being encouraged to ensure they use their right to vote in the local elections being held on Thursday 5 May.
Elections to Rochdale Borough Council will be held in all 20 of the boroughs wards.
There will also be a referendum on the voting system for the UK parliament in which all electors will be able to cast a vote.
Rochdale Borough Council is encouraging everyone to use their vote, and if they have a postal vote to return it immediately.
Polling stations will be open across the borough from 7.00am until 10.00pm.
Deputy Returning Officer, Linda Fisher said: "I would like to remind people of the value of democracy that we sometimes take for granted.
“I hope local people will take the time to vote on Thursday and have their say in the way that they think things should be run here in the borough and how elections should be run for the UK Parliament."
