Falinge Park High School

Many thanks to Rochdale Sixth Form Centre who kindly provided Year 10 Drama students with Masterclasses this week. 60 learners attended sessions based on physical theatre and were treated to a tour of the new institution. Well done to all our pupils for impressive work and impeccable behavior throughout.

Our Arts Careers Fayre takes place this week from 11.00am until 4.00pm in the main Hall. It is hoped Over 30 organisations from throughout the North West will be in attendance and to offer information, advice and guidance. The event is open to pupils, parents and friends of the school from across the years. Parents and visitors are requested to visit the fayre from 3.00pm until 4.00pm and report to Main Reception. Guests and visitors to the school are kindly asked to observe the parking restrictions in
force. Refreshments are served throughout the day.

Applications for our Multicultural Show are available now from the CEPA office for all pupils interested in participating. The show is open to all years and tickets are now available for the show, priced at £3.00. Places are limited so ensure you purchase your tickets well in advance.

We welcome learners from Hopwood Hall College into school this week as they prepare Theatre In Education pieces for our Year 10 students. More details on this project are to follow in the next few weeks.

Pupils who wish to purchase a pantomime DVD should see Mr. DeCourcey as soon as possible for a letter. Copies should be ordered in advance. Please ensure that your forms and money are placed in an envelope.

We are delighted to say that we have completely sold out of our pantomime calendars. Apologies to those Wanting one; we will offer them again next year hopefully. Many thanks for your support.
