Donate your unwanted Christmas presents

Date published: 12 January 2011

The problem of what to do with any disappointing Christmas presents is being made easier this year.

If you received any unwanted gifts and don't know what to do with them - how about donating them to a good cause?

Rochdale Borough Council has launched a seasonal appeal for unwanted gifts, which will be collected and then delivered to local charities.

Unwanted gifts or non perishable food items (e.g. boxed chocolates, mince pies, tins, jars) should be taken to the reception at Rochdale Town Hall by 31 January.

Rina Paolucci from Rochdale Borough Council said:“Many unwanted gifts stay hidden at the back of wardrobes, but these can be converted into vital funds for local charities. All donations will be gratefully received.”
