St Aidan’s Church, Sudden

A packed Church on Sunday 9 January welcomed it’s new Vicar, the Revd. Michael Read.

Michael comes from St Luke's, Lowton with his wife Sharon and children Ian and Lucy.

The Service of Licensing and Induction was conducted by the Bishop Middleton The Rt. Revd. Mark Davies with the Archdeacon of Rochdale The Ven. Cherry Vann and the Area Dean Revd. Philip Miller and included greetings from civic and judicial authorities, other local denominations and faith groups and concluded with a reception in the Church Hall including a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ presentation by members of the cast of St Aidan’s recent banquet entertainment.
