Welcome back to school everyone! We wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

Please remember that lessons start promptly at 8.30am and everybody should be at their desks by then, ready to start work.

We have started school on a snowy footing but pupils must remember that boots and wellingtons should only be worn when there is snow and school shoes should be worn at all other times in school.

The PTA meeting is on Tuesday 11th Jan 2011 at 6.15pm in the school library. It is the first meeting of the new year and we would love to see everybody there, especially new parents to the group. Please come along and meet other parents and staff.

Year 10 and Year 11 pupils have Science exams on Thursday 13th Jan 2011 and so should be revising in preparation.

Many thanks to all the pupils, parents, friends and staff who made last terms’school production one of our most successful productions to date, We hope that the audience had as much fun as the cast and crew.
Many thanks for all the hard work and energy on the part of the cast. Well done to all the costume design winners; Nathan Richardson, Mohammed Sheraz, Taiba Zubaid, Shannon Daivies, Yasmin Hussain and Ben Morgan. Congratulation also goes to Sara Hadfield in Year 9 who composed a song especially for the show and had it performed by the cast.

Well done to all the Year 10 and 11 pupils who came along to Pizza Hut at Sandbrook Park on Friday this week as part of our Panto and Crew meal. A pleasant evening was enjoyed by everyone and many thanks for the prompt collection of children.

Many thaks to Newfound Theatre Company who came into school this week to work with our Year 9 pupils.
The theatre company performed a range of monologues and carried out a series of activities which led to pupils creating and recording their own monologue performances. Well done to 9G2 who worked with the company for the day on Thursday this week.

DVD’s of our school production are now available from the CEPA office, priced at £6.00 each. If you would like to obtain a copy then please return the letters issued to pupils in tutor time this week to Mr. DeCourcey in school as soon as possible.

Tickets for our forthcoming Multicultural Show on the 14th February, Valentines Day, will be available from the CEPA office next week. Tickets are prices at £3.00 each and there are no concessions.

Peri Music lessons begin on Monday this week. Please ensure that you check the timetable noticeboard in CEPA for the correct times and that you bring your Music Pass with you. Please make sure that you sign in on the Music Register if your music lesson takes place over tutor time. If you are unsure of this process then please see Mr. Sapsford or Ms. Williams as soon as possible.

Our Wii Art Club takes place every Tuesday and Thursday in F5 over lunchtime. The club features a range of Dance, Music and Art games on out Nintendo Wii’s and the club is open to all years. Simply come along and get involved.

Thanks to all our CEPA learnig Champions who helped on CEPA Reception duty last term by giving up their own time so freely and willingly. The Reception supports all pupils from across school at lunchtimes. The duty rota continues this term, so please keep an eye on when it is your turn. See Mr. DeCourcey or Mr. Sapsford if you are unsure.
