Hopwood Hall catering students celebrating their award wins
Hopwood Hall College honoured its top students last month at a prestigious award ceremony at Rochdale Town Hall. The Hopwood Hall College students had been selected from thousands of students to receive awards for their achievements.
The Catering and Hospitality Department students were particularly successful on the night; they collected a raft of awards including winning Best Progress, Learner Voice, Best Achievement and Overall Group of the Year. Catering Students were also nominated in the Apprentice of the year category and for the Emerson Award.
One of the winners was Ashley Smith who studies at the College’s Rochdale campus; Ashley works as a volunteer for St John ambulance, and in this capacity he went to Buckingham palace earlier this year where he received an award, The Grand Prior, the highest accolade achievable from the Queen for his voluntary services.
Tutor Paul Fino says: “All the Catering and Hospitality team would like to congratulate the award winners and the rest of the students for all their hard work over the year”.
