Rail operator resumes normal timetable

Date published: 29 December 2010

Northern Rail today (Wednesday 29 December 2010) reminded passengers it would resume a normal timetable following strike action by the RMT.

The union had called strike action by conductors on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December, but Northern ran over 1000 services across both days, 250 more than planned as many conductors came into work as normal.

Ian Bevan, Managing Director, Northern, said: “Despite the RMT strike action we were able to run a significant number of services on both days to carry tens of thousands of passengers across our network.”
