Untitled painting wins annual competition

Gay Wilsher has been named the winner of this year’s Rochdale Artists’ competition.
Ms Wilsher has won The Founder’s Plate for her abstract landscape piece.
The competition was judged by well-known local artist and teacher, Pat King, on 14 December.
Ms Wilsher's untitled abstract landscape painting was chosen for its originality and "exciting colour and tonal range" from some 26 entries by society members.
Ms Wilsher is a long standing member of Rochdale Artists who has recently moved to Todmorden and had not won this competition before.
