Raffles
On Friday we will be raffling the chocolate hamper (20p per ticket) and food hamper (30p per ticket).
Retirement
Mrs. Cheetham, our head lunchtime supervisor, is retiring on Friday after over 34 years service. We would like to say a big thank you for all her hard work during her time at St. Edward’s.
Friday Toy Day
On Friday Years 1 - 6 are having a Toy Day. Below are a few rules:-
1. Not your favourite toy.
2. No electric toys.
3. No toy with little bits.
4. A toy you must be prepared to share with others.
5. Your toy is your responsibility. You must look after it on Toy Day.
Year 6 have their own rules and children have been told what they can bring into school.
Whole School Assembly
On Friday our guitar, brass and recorder groups and the choir will be doing a short performance at our assembly.
St. Martins’ Christingle Service
Your child will have received an invitation from St. Martin’s church to join in the Christingle Service tomorrow at 7pm. Everyone is welcome.
Lego Competition
Well done to our children who won an award for Team Spirit in the 1st Lego League Competition last Friday. We were against secondary and primary schools.
Performances
Well done to all the children who worked really hard and performed brilliantly.
Text Messaging Service
We are continuing to use our text messaging service. In some cases we will be sending text messages to parents rather than sending letters so it is extremely important that you ensure you keep school up-to-date with any change in mobile phone numbers. Please ensure all new contact forms are returned to school as soon as possible.
Dinner Money
Please send dinner money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are now £1.75 per day - £8.75 per week and should be paid on a Monday morning.
School Lunches
There is a copy of the menus on our school portal. In the New year we will be on Week 1.
Music Lessons
Music fees for this half term are now overdue - £16.50 (£2.75 per week). Please pay any outstanding music fees in order for lessons to continue in the New Year.
Please ensure your child brings their instruments into school each week. Clarinet – Monday; Brass – Tuesday and Guitar – Friday.
Christmas Holidays
School closes this Friday 17 December at the normal time and re-opens on Wednesday 5 January.
