Men charged with conspiracy to commit robbery

Officers from TITAN - a collaboration of specialist police officers from the six North West police forces – have today (December 9 2010) charged three men in connection with a series of robberies.
The men, aged 21, 27 and 29, are all charged as part of an investigation into a series of cash in transit robberies which were allegedly carried out across the North West in 2009.
Christopher Jones, 21, of no fixed address, Raymond Mallen, 27, of no fixed address and Christopher Shaw, 29, of Cross Street, Croston, Cheshire have all been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
Jones has also been charged with the attempted murder of PC Gary Marshall in Partington, Greater Manchester. PC Marshall was injured during an alleged robbery in October 2009.
Shaw and Mallen have also been charged with production of cannabis.
The men will all appear at Preston Magistrates Court on Friday, December 10th 2010.
Titan involves six forces – Lancashire, GMP, Merseyside, Cheshire, Cumbria and North Wales Police – collaborating to tackle Serious, Organised and Level II criminality from across the North West region and other parts of the country.
