Over 100 cannabis plants found in Middleton house
Date published: 09 December 2010
More than 100 cannabis plants have been recovered from a house in Middleton.
Shortly before 8.30am on Tuesday 7 December 2010, officers from the Middleton Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a drugs warrant at a house on Morton Street.
103 plants as well as equipment to cultivate the drugs were recovered.
A 28-year-old man and two women, aged 22 and 39, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and abstracting electricity and bailed pending further inquiries.
PC Andy Gray, said: “The action we took came about as a direct result from information from the community and this case proves what we can achieve when we work together.
“We have recovered over a hundred cannabis plants that would undoubtedly have ended up being sold on the streets so this is a great result for residents in the area.
“I would urge anyone with information about those involved in the production or sale and supply of drugs to contact police.”
