Training exercise at Hollingworth Lake

Hollingworth Lake iced over with snow
A large scale emergency services training exercise took place at Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough last night (Wednesday 8 December 2010).
The exercise involved a simulated rescue from icy water utilising specialist water rescue teams.
The Fire and Rescue Service have asked that the members of the public who may have had cause for concern be reassured that it was just a training exercise.
