Date published: 08 December 2010

Pupils involved in the pantomime were in school on Saturday working hard to produce yet another brilliant pantomime. We are here again this Saturday. The rehearsal is from 9.30am until 2.30pm.

Tickets for the pantomime; ‘Cinderella, a Circus Caper’ are now available. Performances take place on Monday and Tuesday, 13 and 14 December at 7.00pm in the Hall. This year our story takes place against a circus background and we look forward to two great, fun-packed evenings. Tickets are £3.00 each (no Concs.) and £10.00 for a family ticket of four. Tickets are available only in advance from school.

Falinge Park High School is hosting an Arts Careers Fayre on 20th January. Letters about this great event will be issued to pupils across school in the next week and parents are welcome to attend the Fayre from 1.45pm until 3.00pm if they wish. The day will see a range of Arts organizations from across the North West gather to showcase the wide range of career pathways available through the Arts.

Pupils from Years 7, 8 and 9 are off to Bury Met on Wednesday on 15th December to watch a performance of ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’. We hope that everyone has a very good time.

During this week the Year 10 and Year 11 BTEC Dance students have all had their assessments. Year 10 for their Performance Unit and Year 11 for their Jazz Unit.

Falinge Park’s own dance company; Company Class is well underway; Lower school is Thursdays from 2.45pm – 4.00pm and Upper school Tuesdays from 2.45pm to 4.00pm in the Dance Studio. The dancers are building up to a performance based on Yael Flexors choreography all about ME and James Fentons poem ‘In Paris With You’. Watch out for performances in the New Year!
