Carols for the Community
The Salvation Army will be holding their annual Carol Service this Sunday (12 December) and invite the community to join us at 4.30pm. This year special guests will be a choir who will be joining us from St Joseph’s Primary school, Heywood. We will also be welcoming Simon Danczuk MP and the Mayor Counsellor Zulfiqar Ali. They will be joined by musicians from The Salvation Army in presenting traditional carols as well as a nativity with a difference.
Captain Paul Wilson, Commanding Officer said, ‘As part of the charity collection this year we are asking people to bring along a new toy, which will be given to those in need in Rochdale. Our Toy Appeal is gathering pace with a variety of business coming on board from around the town. We want with the help of various agencies, to assist as many vulnerable families as possible again this year.’
Refreshments will be served afterwards.
