Christmas spirit on show at hospice
Date published: 05 December 2010
The Christmas spirit was well and truly on show at the Springhill Hospice Christmas Fair today (Sunday 5 December 2010).
The winter weather didn't put anybody off attending the annual event and hundreds flooded in to browse the stalls and help the hospice at the same time.
The whole place was transformed into a spectacular market place with stalls and fun and games around every corner.
The hospice's fundraising manager, Ian Jenkins, said: "Considering the weather and how bad it has been both on the build up to today and this morning it is going well. It is a good day and we are hoping to have made quite a bit of money."
Stalls at the event included craft stalls, bric-a-brac, a tombola. It seemed the children’s favourite however was Santa’s grotto!
All the money raised will go into the hospice funds.
