GMPTE is advising passengers that while weather conditions are improving and snow is not forecast overnight, some bus services are still likely to be subject to some disruptions, particularly on minor roads.
Temperatures remain below freezing and conditions are still icy across Greater Manchester.
Before setting out, passengers should check operators' websites for updates on services and allow extra time for their journey.
Melanie Watson, GMPTE's Transport Services Manager, said: "The majority of bus services have been operating today, although passengers may experience delays and some services have been running on revised routes because of road conditions.
"In areas where roads and estates are not being served, Greater Manchester, passengers are advised to walk to the nearest main road to catch a bus.
"Passengers should, where possible, keep up with weather bulletins, check their operator's website before travelling and allow extra time for their journeys.
"Most train services have been operating normally, although some longer distance journeys are being delayed and disrupted by more severe weather conditions outside Greater Manchester.
"There has been no significant disruption to Metrolink, but passengers should check the Metrolink website before setting out for the latest updates."
