Public transport information

Bus operators are reporting improving conditions this morning (Thursday 2 December 2010), with the majority of services operating.

The ongoing frost is still preventing some minor road and estate roads from being served in a few parts of Greater Manchester and passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check their operator's website for the very latest service information:

Longer distance train services, particularly from the north east of England, are experiencing delays and disruption because of the weather conditions in that area.

The majority of Northern Rail services are operating as normal with few problems west of the Pennines. However, it is extremely unlikely that the Leeds-Manchester Victoria service (via Dewsbury and Brighouse) will run today. Services should still be running via Bradford.
