Mock examinations for Years 11 and 13 are just around the corner. Year 13 mocks run from Friday 10 to Thursday 16 December. Year 11 mocks are from Monday 13 to Thursday 16 December. It is vital that your child prepares as thoroughly as possible for these exams therefore revision should be well underway. Children in Need – we are now delighted to announce that the school raised £614.94 for this very worthy cause. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work and effort.

Thank you to all of you who attended our school production of the Wizard of Oz which took place in the Gracie Fields Theatre this week. It was an amazing success so thank you not only to the parents and students who came but also to other members of the community and our primary partners in supporting such an amazing production. Again the standard this year was unbelievable and is testament to the hard work and talent of the students involved and the staff who helped make this possible.

European Street – we welcomed primary school children from Norden, Hopwood and Caldershaw last week to visit our “Street”. Various items were being sold in the shops on the street, in the French and Spanish languages. This gave the children an opportunity to practice their foreign language and the feedback from the primary schools was that it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
