Disruption to bus services - update 4.00pm

Bus operators are reporting minor changes to their services this morning (Tuesday 30 November 2010), following the overnight snowfall.

The majority of services are operating as normal, but may be subject to delay due to road conditions.

A few roads and estates remain unserved and, in these cases, passengers are advised to walk to the nearest main road.

Passengers are advised, where possible, to check their operator's website before travelling.

Latest bus service information:

First Manchester has reported the following changes:

Services 8, 12, 36 & 37 are experiencing delays in Manchester city centre due to traffic congestion.
Service 24 – Unable to serve Bacup, journeys starting from Rochdale
Services 38/39 – Operating between Ashton and Rose Hill Road only
Service 59 – Now operating to / from Rushcroft
Service 64 – Unable to serve Boarshaw and Dam Head estates
Service 81 – Operating via Huddersfield Road and Ripponden Road then via Vulcan Street and normal route. Journeys towards Oldham operating via normal route.
Service X82 – Evening journeys will operate directly along Milnrow Road between Shaw and Milnrow omitting Buckstones loop
Service 83 – Operating to Sholver via Wilkes Street, journeys from Sholver operating normal route
Service X84 – Evening journeys will terminate at Delph crossroads
Service 149 – Unable to serve Coppice
Service 184 – Diggle and Huddersfield journeys currently starting / terminating at the Navigation PH.
Services 332/393 – Not currently operating via Hartshead Estate
Service 350 (Ashton-Oldham) – Journeys operating normal route Ashton to Top Mossley, then via 353 route to Greenfiled station and normal route to Oldham but omitting Delph village and Carrcote.
Service 408 – Not operating via normal route.
Service 415 – Unable to serve Greenacres, operating via Huddersfield Rd and Stamford Road to Holts Estate.
Service 425 – Now operating to Holts, inbound journeys via Lees New Road, outbound journeys via Wildmoor Avenue. Service unable to operate via Abbeyhills Estate - operating along the main road. At Fitton Hill operating via Honeywell Lane and Keswick Avenue to Ashton Road as the evening journeys operate.
Service 438 – Service now operating.
Services 451/452 – Not operating round Holt estate, operating via Newhey Road.
Service 719 – Unable to operate up to Hopwood Hall College, terminating on Rochdale Road.

Stagecoach Manchester has reported the following changes:

Service 168 – Unable to serve Clockhouse terminus
Service 231 – Unable to serve Hartshead and diverting via Broadoak Road

Bu-Val Buses has reported the following changes: 

Services 403/4 – Serving main roads in Shaw only
Service 458 – Unable to serve Starring Way

Coachmasters has reported the following changes:

Service 12 – Only running every hour only due to increased journey times
Service 441 – Unable to serve Greenbank Rd/Blanche St and diverting via Binns Nook Rd/Fieldhouse Rd to Whitworth Rd

Speedwell has reported the following changes: Service 343 – Unable to serve Stamford Rd/Winterford Rd in Mossley

Stotts Tours (Oldham) has reported the following changes: Service 353 – Unable to serve High Grove Lane
Service 407 – Serving main roads only

 

All other services are operating to their normal routes.
