Petrus insists ‘we are not losing any services’
Date published: 29 November 2010
Petrus Community is reminding the public that it is not losing any services and its message is “we have no intention of letting our service users down.”
The future of the service is uncertain at this stage because of Rochdale Council’s saving proposals.
A spokesperson for Petrus said: “If the proposed cuts in funding from RMBC go ahead we will have to reduce the level of service in some areas at some time in the future. But we are still hoping that this will be a last resort.
“As ever Petrus is looking to raise funds in order to continue its work with local vulnerable people who are homeless or in housing need and working to recover their lives despite the challenges they face.”
The spokesperson added: “The people of Rochdale have always been very supportive of Petrus in our work and we have no doubt that they will continue to help us to provide a very necessary service for the most vulnerable in our society.”
