Many thanks to the Inspirational Science Theatre Company who came into school this week to perform to selected pupils. The performance included a range of Science experiments to help pupils better understand a range of environmental issues. Well done to all the pupils involved!
This week sees the issue of a booklet that celebrates the achievement of our boys in the Arts. The colour, glossy booklet features, in-depth interviews with eleven boys from across the years and lists all our great male achievers across the Arts. Well done lads!
Pantomime tickets can be purchased from school every day at the moment. There are limited seats available so please act quickly if you would like to secure a seat. Tickets can be obtained from the CEPA office, priced £3.00 each or £10.00 for a family of four.
We are delighted to launch a Creative Writing competition for the pupils of Shawclough Primary school this week, following Mr. DeCourcey’s and Ms. Gotts visits over the past few weeks. The competition guidelines have been issued to all Year 6 pupils at the school and we look forward to receiving your entries later in the year.
If you would like to lend a hand with the making of the pantomime costumes, then please contact Mr. Mvula in the CEPA office via a pupil. We are currently looking for parents who can lend a hand in the Creation of large numbers of costumes.
The Songwriting Competition and Costume Design Competitions featured in the latest Arts College Newletter are well underway and thank you to the many pupils who have returned entries so far. We Continue to accept entries up to the deadline and more details can be found in the latest edition of the Arts College Newsletter.
The deadline for the Year 10 Work Experience Self Placement forms to be handed in is Friday 10 December 2010. Please would all parents ensure that the forms are all completed, signed and returned to Mrs. Ellis at Pupil Reception as soon as possible. Pupils must also ensure that a copy of the Employers Liability Insurance form is also brought in to school. If you have any queries regarding the Work Experience program, do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Ellis in school.
