Motor Vehicles students work on a donated car
Hopwood Hall College’s Motor Vehicles department is appealing for members of the public to donate their old cars.
The College runs a number of motor vehicles courses and much of the work is practical; students have to practice on old cars in order to be able to pass their qualifications.
Many of the cars are donated to the college by staff, students and friends of the College. However, recently their supply of old cars have dried up so tutor Ian Percival is appealing to the local community.
Mr Percival said: “If you have an old car which is still running but has failed its MOT, please consider donating it to the College. Your car will go to a very good home and provide invaluable real work experience for our students.
“If you have an old car to donate, please call The Motor Vehicles department at Hopwood Hall College on 0161 643 7560 extension 2316 between 8.30 and 5pm.”
