Many thanks to all the parents, friends and staff of the school who attended our highly Successful Abba Tribute Night. It proved to be a fantastic evening and there were some truly great fancy dress costumes.
Photos of the evening are available from school if you Would like to purchase any copies. Please contact Mr. DeCourcey for more details.
Tickets for our school pamtomime are available from the CEPA office, priced at £3.00 each or £10.00 for a family ticket. Ticket order forms can be obtained from the last page of the latest Arts College Newsletter issued 2 weeks ago, or available to download from the schools website.
Rehearsals are underway most evenings for our school production. Please pay close attention to the finishing times of each rehearsal as they do change and we are keen to ensure the safety of pupils making their way home after school. Further copies of the rehearsal timetable are available from Mr. Mvula.
We welcome the Inspirational Science Theatre Company into school this week to perform to Selected pupils.
Dr. Ken Farquhar will perform a short piece about contemporary Science Issues. Thank you to Mr. DeCourcey and Ms. Kowalski for their involvement in the organization of the event.
There are now a few remaining places to see ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ at The Bury Met on Wednesday 15th December for Years 7 and 8 pupils. Please see Mr.DeCourcey if you would like a letter.
Places are offered on a ‘first come, first served basis’.
There are currently two arts related competitions in school. Pupils from all years are invited to participate in a ‘Design a Clown’ costume design competition. The entry form can be found in the pages of the latest Arts College newsletter or downloaded from our school website. There are three prizes up for grabs from the three best entries.
The second competition is being run by Mr. Dalby and the Songwriting Group as we look to find the best original circus song from the budding composers across the school. Details of the ‘Pantomime Songwriting’ competition can also be found in the latest Arts College newsletter. The winning entry will be performed on one or more of the performances in December.
Can we ask all pupils who attend music tuition sessions across school to ensure that they carry their music lesson passes with them at all times. It is important that you do not forget it in order to avoid getting into trouble back in class. Please can you check the Music lesson timetables on a regular basis as there are inevitably some late minute changes.
Windband rehearsals take place every Thursday after school in F9 and it is important that you attend as we prepare for a season of concerts and performances.
