ATTENDANCE
The winners of the attendance certificate week ending 5 November 2010 were Olive, Emerald, Orange and Amber Classes, all with an attendance of 100%. Very well done to all four Classes. The overall attendance for the school was 96.8%.

UNITS 3 & 4 TALKING HOMEWORK
This week’s Talking Homework topic for Units Three and Four is: ‘A famous chef has agreed to cook for you for a whole day, what would you ask him to make for you?

ANTI BULLYING WEEK 15-19 NOVEMBER 2010
School will be taking part in the National Anti Bullying Week. During the week children will be involved in many activities and discussions about bullying and its affects. Alongside this newsletter you will receive our Guidelines for Children and Parents about the schools ‘Anti Bullying Policy’.

EQUIPMENT FOR SCHOOLS IN AFRICA APPEAL
Thank you for your donations for the ‘Wear What you Want Day’, ‘Bring and Buy Sale’ and our Cake sale. In total we raised £323.64. We have bought enough equipment to fill 50 packs and to fund the cost of transporting them. Thanks also to the Manager of Staples in Rochdale, Andrew Nagy, for the generous discount and help.

CHILDREN IN NEED 19 NOVEMBER
WEAR WHAT YOU WANT – SPOTTY DAY
Friday, 19 November is Children in Need Day so in school we will be wearing spotty clothes and collecting donations for this worthwhile charity.

YEAR 3 – CLARINET PERFORMANCE 1.15-2.15 P.M.
On Monday, 22 November children in Year 3 will be performing for the whole school – parents will be most welcome to come along.
