Flat on fire

Fire fighters raced to save a sixth-floor flat in Underwood this morning (Friday 5 November) after a bedroom caught alight.
The College Bank flat set on fire due to a heater in a bedroom. A bedside cabinet and the rest of the bedroom were significantly damaged.
Rochdale’s firefighters were called at 7.06am and used a jet and breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze.
An engineer has been sent to check for any problems.
