Middleton bonfire and firework display
Date published: 04 November 2010
The people of Middleton enjoyed a spectacular fire work display tonight (Thursday 4 November 2010).
Hundreds gathered at Bowlee Community Park for the annual bonfire and fireworks display and a whole host of funfair rides.
Amongst the guests was the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Zulfiqar Ali, who could be seen chatting with the families.
Many enjoyed playing with sparklers and glow sticks and everyone looked cosy in their bobble hats and wellingtons.
Youngster Ebony Wild was at the front of the crowds to watch the beautiful colours fill the sky when the firework display started at 7.30pm she took her eyes off them for just a second to say: “I love fireworks.”
