Vote for your favourite new building

The shortlist for this years Rochdale Borough Design Awards has been announced.

Seven local buildings have been put forward by local people who nominated their favourites over the summer, and now voting is open for the ‘Peoples Design Award.’

The shortlisted buildings are: 

  • Rochdale 6th Form College 
  • Broadshaw Farm, Rochdale
  • Bib Knowl Farm, Littleborough
  • Unity House, Rochdale
  • The Phoenix Centre, Heywood
  • Birtle Brook Village, Birtle
  • 24 Bamford Way, Rochdale

Alternatively write to Rochdale Borough Design Awards, Rochdale Borough Council, Strategic Planning, Floor 2, Telegraph House, Baillie Street, Rochdale OL16 1JH. Voting is open until the 24 November. The winner will be announced at a special ceremony later in the year.

Councillor Dale Mulgrew, Cabinet Member for Development said: “Once again the council are pleased to support these prestigious awards and to see high quality in building design and construction being encouraged and rewarded.”

The Rochdale Borough Design Awards focus on recognising the relationship between good design of new developments and building successful communities.
