Attendance The winner of the attendance certificate week ending 15 October 2010 was Scarlet Class with an attendance of 99.2%. Excellent Scarlet Class. The overall attendance for the school was 95.1%.

Units 3 & 4 talking homework This week’s Talking Homework topic for Units Three and Four is: If you could swap places with anyone in the world for one day; who would you choose to be and why?

Playgroup Playgroup are now taking names for children who will be entitled to 15 hours free Nursery Education Grant in January 2011. If your child was born before 31st December 2007 and you would like to access a place at Shawclough Playgroup, please contact Denise Jones for a registration form.
We currently have vacancies for children aged 2. For details of fees and available days, please contact Denise or Paula on 01706 642462. (Fees may be subsidised by Working Families Tax Credit).

Lunchboxes Could you please ensure that your child’s lunchbox is clearly marked with their name and class, and check that you are taking the correct lunchbox home at the end of the day.

Dinners Could I please remind everyone that children should remain on the same dinner choice (school meals or packed lunches) for a full half term.
