The new Reception children managed 100% attendance; well done, a fantastic start to school. Closely followed by Year 2 with 99%.

Music invoices have been sent out this week, all children who take music lessons have been issued with a bill for this half term. Prompt payment is much appreciated and helps us to maintain accurate registers. The music timetable has now been fixed; Cello Monday, Orchestra, Strings Wednesday, Drumming, Thursday plus Woodwind & Keyboard (Years 5 and 6) also Thursday, Brass and Keyboard (Years 3 and 4) is on Friday. Please can you encourage your child to bring their instrument – and take it home again!!

Next week; Monday, Year 6 to Rochdale CLC at Falinge, Tuesday Whitworth High School are coming to speak to Year 6. Thursday is the Rochdale Observer ‘Starting School’ photograph for new Reception, and on Friday the whole school are invited to watch “The Dragon of Krakow” by |Story magic Theatre at a cost of £1.20 per child please.

We are almost all sold out of the Francis House toys for this year’s Children’s Hospice Appeal.
