This week’s themes were The Sick/Made in the Image of God/Prejudice and our Enterprise capability was Change. Form classes were introduced to the new resource The Enterprise Journey which has been developed by teachers to help children track their progress in Enterprise Education.

Many congratulations to Jorge El Hage in Year 12 who has recently represented the Great Britain Roller Hockey team in the European championships in Germany. The team finished 2nd and Jorge was awarded a silver medal for his efforts.

Year 7 learners enjoyed a fantastic book launch party in the LRC on Monday. Mrs Russell provided party food and drinks for the very busy event which was attended by over 70 pupils.

Fundraising for Lourdes 2011 - We are hosting a Quiz Night on Friday 8th October in the school hall at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £8 per person and include tapas, meat and potato / cheese and onion pie, as well as entry into a prize draw for a meal in a local eatery. There will also be a raffle. Admission is by ticket only and teams with a maximum of eight people are welcome. Tickets will need to be reserved as soon as possible by telephoning Mrs Beisty or Miss Farrelly (tel. 01706 647761).

The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. We now have a group of parents following a computing course in school. If you would like to be a part of this, please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).
