Boy’s finger injured in bike chain

A young boy’s finger was in jeopardy yesterday (25 August 2010) evening after he got it caught in a bike chain.
Fire fighters from Heywood were called to Valley Road, Middleton to free the youngster.
They freed his finger out with bolt croppers and gave him first aid at the scene.
He was later taken to hospital by his parents.
