Date published: 23 August 2010
Heartless thugs have left a Rochdale woman mortified after they poisoned her cats and left them to die.
The woman who doesn’t want to be named returned to her property in Wardle yesterday (Sunday 22 August 2010) afternoon to find that five of her cats had been poisoned.
Four of the cats died and the fifth is in a very bad way.
Upon inspection from the RSPCA three bowls of tuna were found in the woman’s garden which has been covered with anti-freeze.
The distressed woman contacted Rochdale Online to warn others of this attack.
She said: “I am devastated; I don’t know how anyone can be so cruel and sick to have done this.
“It is horrendous – I saw them in their last moments last night and it was horrible.”
“I want to alert people about this attack.”
The police have been made aware of the incident.
The RSPCA are now investigating. A spokesperson for the RSPCA was unavailable for comment at the time of publication.
