Date published: 18 August 2010
Police are hunting a robber who threatened a shop worker with a knife in Heywood.
Shortly after midday on Thursday 12 August 2010, a man wearing a high-visibility jacket went into Huws Gray Brick Matching on Bridge Street.
He went behind the counter and held a knife against the throat of the 47-year-old assistant and demanded money from her.
As there was no till or cash, the woman handed over her own purse.
The offender is described as being a white man, aged between mid 20s and late 30s, about 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He was wearing a short-sleeved fluorescent jacket with a scarf over his face. He had a faded tattoo on his left hand.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8632 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
