Attempted murder charge after Heywood stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Heywood.
Daniel Adams, 20, of Dumbarton Drive, Heywood, is due to appear at Rochdale Magistrates' Court today, (Wednesday 18 August 2010).
The charges relate to an incident at 5.15pm on Monday (16 August 2010), where a 17-year-old boy was stabbed three times in the back on Rose Hill Street, Heywood.
The boy has been treated in hospital for a punctured lung and remains there in a stable condition.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police in Rochdale on 0161 856 8754 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
