Let’s get messy

Christopher, Julia and John Wild enjoy the outdoor messy play time
Fifteen families at Moorhouse Sure Start Children’s Centre were treated to a supersized ‘let’s get messy’ session last week.
The regular session was taken outdoors to accommodate the usual pre school children as well as their older brothers and sisters who are on school holidays. This meant that the centre could run more activities for the different age groups.
There was lots of fun with shaving foam in trays, corn-flour gloop, pasta, jelly, assorted painting, soil, plant pots and watering cans. Spray painting with plant sprays and large rollers with water to roller “paint” on walls and floors was also a big hit.
The sun made an appearance to make the day a huge success, which meant families could enjoy the whole session outdoors and new families were encouraged to join in the fun.
Parent, Jacqui Hollyhead said:“Good fun, especially good as I was able to bring my 2 older boys.”
Parent, Jane Fagan said:“Katie and Gabrielle have a brilliant time every time they come here. All the staff are fantastic and don’t even mind the mess. Thank you.”
