Free shuttle bus for Rochdale roadworks

GMPTE is advising bus passengers that a free shuttle bus service will be operating from Rochdale bus station from Sunday 15 August for approximately 11 weeks, due to essential railway bridge replacement work on Albert Royds Street, Rochdale.
Rochdale Borough Council is funding the service, which will run in a circular route from the bus station via Smith Street, Entwistle Road, Belfield Road, Reservoir Street, Albert Royds Street, Halifax Road, Entwistle Road, Smith Street and the bus station.
The service will operate daily from Rochdale Bus Station every half hour between 7am and 11pm Monday to Friday, 9am and 11pm on Saturdays and 10am and 9pm on Sundays.
The shuttle service is timed to allow passengers to interchange with the revised times of services 434 and 433, which will be operating from Rochdale Bus Station via Smith Street, Molesworth Street, Milnrow Road and Kingsway before rejoining their normal routes.
Bus users can check their services before travelling at www.gmpte.com or by calling Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 (calls from landlines cost 10p per minute. Mobile and landline networks may charge additional tariff costs.) Lines are open from 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 8pm at weekends.
A temporary footbridge will allow continuous pedestrian access.
