Man charged with Milnrow robberies

A man has been charged with two robberies in Milnrow.
Mark Higginson, 44, of Hebble Butt Close, Milnrow was charged with two counts of robbery on 30 June 2010.
He appeared before Rochdale Magistrates' Court on 1 July 2010 and was remanded in custody.
Police received reports of two robberies on The Cray, Milnrow.
A 74-year-old woman had a handbag, containing cash and a pink Fuji digital camera stolen on 18 May 2010.
On 23 June 2010, jewellery was stolen from a vulnerable 44-year-old woman.
Officers are appealing for any information about the jewellery, which included a gold Avia watch with small square face and strap with small links.
A gold sovereign style ring, a gold plated Austrian crystal ring in a green and blue flower shape, a gold ring with black onyx heart, gold patterned ring and a gold ring with engraved small crosses and stars were also taken.
Anyone with information about the stolen jewellery are asked to contact police on 0161 856 8427 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
