Fun day a huge hit in Wardleworth
Date published: 03 August 2010
Hundreds of people from across Rochdale descended upon the Warldeworth Community Centre yesterday (Monday 2 August 2010) for the centre’s fun day.
Visitors to the centre enjoyed a range of activies and filled up their day with plenty of fun.
The event was organised by Rochdale Youth Service in partnership with Housing Market Renewal (HMR), Regenda Group, Great Places, and, of course, Wardleworth Community Centre.
The fun day is now in its fifth year and unlike previous years was not affected by the rain.
Mohammed Sheraz from the centre said: “Activities included face painting, henna painting, hair braiding, bouncy castles, wet sponges and food and refreshments were also provided.
“The young people also fundraised for The Mayor's charities and also for Christies Hospital.
“A big thank you to all the organisers and the local community who took part.”
