The Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) in Rochdale has raised more than £1000 to help with the Borough of Rochdale Fund.
Every pound that is raised for the fund is matched.
The members at CVS Rochdale have held various fundraising events across the year including a garden party earlier this month.
Colin Evans, Vice Chair of Public Sector Community Foundation of Greater Manchester and Member of the Borough of Rochdale Fund Advisory Group has thanked CVS Rochdale for all their hard work.
In a letter to CVS, he said: “To have raised over £1,000 through a series of events and initiatives which have taken time, energy and thought to plan and execute is really appreciated and I can assure you that you are making a significant contribution towards building a sustainable fund for grassroots groups across the borough.”
The Borough of Rochdale Fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Manchester and aims to support local community groups and individuals throughout the borough.
