Randstad Education ‘Dragon’, Dave Hayton, with Year 9 Oulder Hill pupils
Year 9 pupils at Oulder Hill Community School, Rochdale, have taken part in a business and enterprise day designed to introduce them to the world of work.
The day, which was organised by the Manchester office of educational staffing specialist Randstad Education, was based on 'Dragon's Den' themed enterprise activities.
Working with Randstad Education's 'Dragons', Oulder Hill pupils invented products to represent countries competing in this year’s FIFA World Cup and designed exciting ad campaigns to promote them.
Rachael Tunnard, senior managing consultant at Randstad Education Manchester comments: “The students threw their energy into great products and hilarious ad campaigns – we expect a lot of future entrepreneurs and advertising executives to come out of Oulder Hill.”
Oulder Hill head teacher, Margaret Dudley adds: “We’re grateful to Randstad Education, as our staffing agency, for giving up their time to pass on their marketing expertise to our students. The students benefited from a different kind of day with business people and I am pleased with the result."
