Have your say on the future of Lenny Barn

Lenny Barn
Local people will get a chance to have their say about the future of the Lenny Barn playing fields during a public meeting next week.
It was reported last week that concerns were originally voiced at the Rochdale Township Committee meeting over a proposed land swap.
Rochdale Township councillors agreed to a public meeting after listening to concerns from nearby residents.
Some residents are unhappy that the land may be used for the re-building of Falinge Park High School as part of the Building Schools for the Future project.
The meeting will take place at 7pm on Thursday 22 July at Rochdale Town Hall to allow residents to discuss the plans and put forward their views and questions.
Council officers attending the meeting will include the New Schools Programme Support Manager and the Senior Solicitor from Building Schools for the Future.
Councillor Wera Hobhouse, Chair of Rochdale Township said: “It is very important that members of the public attend this, to put forward their opinions. I urge local people to have their say and get involved so that their views can be considered.”
