St Cuthbert's RC Business & Enterprise College

This week’s theme was ‘Celebration’ and our Enterprise capability was ‘Communication’.

We welcomed our new Year 7 learners into school on Tuesday, it was very exciting for us to be able to show you some of the activities you will be doing in September – we look forward to seeing you then.

‘Kirkholt’s Got Talent’ took place on Thursday evening with over 180 people coming along to support the acts. It was a brilliant community event, where pupils, family and friends of St Cuthbert’s, Sandbrook and St Mary’s schools all joined together to celebrate talents in music, singing and dancing. Congratulations to ‘Street Strike’ from St Cuthbert’s who took the trophy for first place. Thank you to everyone who came along to support the event.

Thank you to everyone who attended our evening of Art and Dance on Monday. Our students were very enthusiastic to display their work and perform to parents and friends. We also had our KS4 gallery visit to The Tate in Liverpool. Thank you to Miss Holden and Mrs Hamilton for arranging the visit to see the Picasso exhibition.

Congratulations to our sports teams who represented us at the Greater Manchester Catholic Schools Sports Event. Girls finished first; boys finished second – St Cuthbert’s finished first overall.

Could we please take this opportunity to thank everyone in our whole school community who has contributed in any way to St Cuthbert’s during this academic year. We wish you a very happy and safe summer holiday and we look forward to seeing you bright and early on Monday 6 September. In Christ We Serve.
