This week’s theme was ‘Retreat and Rejoice’ and our Enterprise capability was ‘Problem Solving’.

Thank you to the parents of our new Year 7 learners who will be joining us in September, for attending our Intake Evenings this week. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome you into our school community and share with you our hopes and aspirations for your children as they embark on their secondary school education.

‘Cuthbert’s Got Talent’ took place on Wednesday evening with over a hundred people coming along to support the acts. We had a wide range of variety acts, from dancing and singing to instrumentalists. Congratulations to all of the finalists who all received a medal for taking part in the concert and special congratulations to the ten trophy winners as well as the four acts who were chosen to go through to this week’s final – ‘Kirkholt’s Got Talent’.

Congratulations to our KS4 learners who completed their ESOL course at Hopwood Hall College. The end of year Celebration gave learners the opportunity to present their work to an audience and gave school staff the opportunity to see all of the extra work done throughout the academic year. Well done!

Building work to improve the area around the Year 11 Centre and the PLC has begun – please note events cannot take place in the PLC during this last half term. Please liaise with Mrs Moore for an alternative venue.
