Oulder Hill School Prom 2010

Despite the summer rain, school leavers from Oulder Hill arrived at their prom dressed to kill.

Year-11 leavers were ferried to the Village Hotel, Bury in vintage cars, stretch limousines, Bentley's and a even a 'Grease' themed ‘Pink Ladies’ motor.

Though the pupils said they were sad to be leaving Oulder Hill, they were optimistically looking forward to promising futures.

Sophie Fenwick said: "It has been a very good school to be at; I have really enjoyed being there. One of the major highlights for me was a trip to Burrs Country Park.

"I am now going on to do A levels at Bury College."

Fellow student Max Wild agreed with Sophie's sentiments about the school, he added: "We've had a good time at school, lots of laughs as well as learning.

"I am looking forward to a great night tonight.

"I am taking up an apprenticeship with Bywaters of Rochdale and will do my training at Rochdale Training."

Head of Year, Pam Howe, said the year group have been "fantastic", she added: "I am so proud of them; I've already been in tears tonight. They will be a very hard act to follow."
