Schoolchildren gather for Hospice concert

Springhill Hospice
Springhill Hospice’s annual Children’s Voices for Hospice Concerts will be held at the Gracie Fields Theatre on Sunday 4 July 2009.
In the first concert at 4.00pm pupils from St. Patrick’s RC Primary, St. Vincent’s RC Primary, St Peter’s RC Primary, Our Lady & St Paul’s RC Primary, Little Heaton Primary, Holy Family RC Primary, St Luke’s C of E Primary, Sacred Heart RC Primary, Oulder Hill Community School and Middleton Junior Choir will join Rochdale Girls Choir.
The second concert, which commences at 7.30pm, sees children from Heap Bridge Village Primary, Tonacliffe County Primary, Meanwood C of E Primary, Whittaker Moss Primary, Holy Trinity C of E Primary, Greenbank Primary and Wardle High School joined by Rochdale Boys Choir.
Musicians from Rochdale Youth Wind Orchestra will provide accompaniment and the concerts will once again be hosted by Bacup-based actor, Eric Potts, best known as baker Diggory Compton in Coronation Street.
Tickets are still available and are priced at £7.50 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and £20.00 for family tickets (2 adults and 2 concessions) at participating schools. Card bookings can be made during office hours via the Hospice Fundraising Office on 01706 649920, though a £1 booking fee is applicable.
