BIKE-IT – Thursdays
Don’t forget Bike-It Thursdays. Anyone coming to school on their bike will be given a free raffle ticket to go in the draw for a new bike at the end of the year. Those children who come on their bikes on a Thursday can have a free breakfast as long as they are in no later than 8.30am.

If they come on their bike any other day they will be given a raffle ticket but free breakfasts will only be given on a Thursday.

Swimming Team
Well done to our Swimming Team who brought back lots of medals and did us proud at the Inter-School Gala Final on Monday. Just one gala left in the league now before the season finishes!

Summer Fair
Thank you so much for all your support at our summer fair. We raised an amazing £1,300 which will go back into school funds for the benefit of all children.

School Meals We feel that children have been too restricted in having the same meals every three weeks so from September children will go back to choosing meals on a daily basis from the kitchen hatch. We still need to know who requires a school lunch so please fill in the slip on the back of this week’s newsletter, even if your child is having sandwiches from home. These choices will be made on a half termly basis.

In the next few weeks there will be a copy of the new menus in the foyer window and display cabinets and also on the school portal.

A reminder that next week we are on Week 2.

Dinner Money Please send dinner money in on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. Lunches are £1.70 per day or £8.50 per week. Thank you.

Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are £16.20. Please also pay any outstanding fees as soon as possible. These fees need to be paid in order for children to continue with their lessons. Thank you.

Text Messaging Service
You will have noticed that we have started a text messaging service in school. We are trialling this for a month to inform parents of events. To help us manage this and make the service successful, please ensure that you keep school up-to-date with any change in mobile phone numbers.

Leaver’s Service Our Year 6 children went to Manchester Cathedral on Monday. The service was lovely and the children were really well behaved.

Megan Powell and Grace Langton both took part in the service and Babar Khan carried our lovely new school/church banner which has been designed by our creative club.

KS1 Stars of the Week

This week’s Stars of the Week are:

Evie Simpson RJ; Jack Anderson RP; Evie Gregory RP; Ethan Brierley 1P; Alex Chisnall 1P; Caira Turk 2G and Owen Robinson. Well Done.

Car Park
When you are dropping children off at school or for breakfast club, please do not come into the staff car park – this is a health and safety issue. Thank you.
