Date published: 25 June 2010
Three cars were involved in a car crash today, (Friday 25 June 2010) at 2.30pm.
The collision happened on Manchester Road at the junction of Albion Street, close to Castleton Railway Station.
It is believed that a taxi driver heading towards Rochdale put his brakes on at the last minute and attempted to turn right into Albion Street.
The car behind, a black Ford Fiesta Zetec, broke and bumped into the back of the taxi.
However, the vehicle behind, a gold Peugeot 407, was unable to avoid crashing and hit the back of the Ford Fiesta.
Nobody was injured in the collision.
The Fiesta and Peugeot suffered minor external damage and the taxi suffered no damage.
