Falinge Park High School
Thank you to those pupils who attended the mask making workshop this week. It is
hoped that your masks will be ready for you to paint and take home soon. See Mr
DeCourcey for more details.
This week sees our annual Summer Music Showcase on Monday 28 June from 7.00pm
until 9.00pm in the school hall. Tickets are priced at £3.00 for adults and £1.50 for
children. The evening will feature a range of performances from pupils across the years and promises to show the wide range of styles used in school to bring music alive.
We would like to thank Meanwood Primary School and Spotland Primary School on
Thursday this week, as they attended our ‘Sing Up’ Experience Day. Over 80 Year 8 and Year 6 pupils came along to school and experienced workshops in Drama, Dance, Music Technology and Singing. A great day was enjoyed by all.
Ms. Wystawnoha and Year 10 BTEC Dance pupils will be working at Oulder Hill this week as part of the preparation for a Bollywood Dance event led by the professional dance artist, Zurbin Surty.
Year 7 ACE pupils are currently undertaking a sequence of sessions led by Cartwheel Artists in order to produce a showcase event for parents and friends. The rehearsals and preparation sessions are now well under way and we look forward to seeing the great end results.
If Year 11 GCSE Drama pupils have copies of their ‘Billy Liar’ exam texts at home, then we would be grateful if they could now return them promptly to Mr. DeCourcey in the CEPA Office.
