A reminder that our International Evening will take place in school on the evening of Thursday 15 July. Building on the successes of the previous two years this promises to be an incredible evening showcasing the very best we have to offer in the way of music, art, dance, drama, food and a variety of other activities and themes from across the world.

The evening starts at 6.00pm and finishes at 8.00pm. Tickets to get into the event are 50 pence per person or £1.50 for a family of 4 – these are available in school in advance of the evening or you can buy them on the door when you arrive.

We would also like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our sponsors for the evening. So far Copifax have donated £250, Hetherington’s have donated a laser printer to the school, Frankie and Benny’s a £30 voucher, Pizza Hut a £20 voucher, Grosvenor House Group family tickets for a pantomime and Japanese Taiko Drummers and McDonalds at Sandbrook Park some vouchers. We really look forward to seeing you on the night.

The School of Rock concert will take place in school on the evening of Wednesday 30 June (the date has changed since last published), in which bands and artists go head to head. Last year’s event was a fantastic night so please come along to support.

Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 cricket team who beat St. Cuthberts in the semi-final of the Rochdale Schools cricket competition. St. Cuthberts made 40 all out and Oulder Hill made 41 within 8 overs and with only 3 wickets down. Man of the match was Abnaan Ali who bowled and batted superbly. A massive well done to all the team: Abnaan Ali, Hayat Al-Bahadar, Muteen Saeed, Sam Fitton, Daniel Buckley, Adam Ahmed, James Schofield, Abdul Saheed, Hamza Khalil, Oliver Greenwood and Hamza Mughal. The final will be held at Rochdale Cricket Club on Tuesday July 6 – fingers crossed.
